Techno Musician / Race Car Builder/ Mechanic/ Diverse Technologies Specialist. Some people think I'm a cranky old dude, but I'm at the age that I don't feel I have to put up with stupid crap. I love racing and building things.

Hearing a race engine fire for the first time. Building stuff that people think won't work just to prove them wrong - and whuppin' 'em with it at the track !!
Listening to any kind of music other than country - preferably 70's rock and electronic / world music.

Stoopid people !!!
Dealing with my ex-wives !!!

Building new stuff outta old stuff, cooking, music.

Thanks for the invite. I applaude your will to be an "old cranky dude". being the same age I understand that character trait, although, I call it perserverance. Racer's usually say it as "Keep diggin'".
Truly you must be a racer at heart. Only a true racer knows the joy of fireing up an engine for the first time, or, the smell of burning fuel, and vibration felt while standing next to a running engine you just assembled from the used parts bin. And then, declare, with some measure of confidence, "Let's go racing!"

From one old guy to another, Thanks for the invite. I may have to take you up on it sometime. But to me my age is just a number, i'm still young at heart. I still enjoy getting out there with my Chevette, even if I don't do so well. Maybe I would be better off bench racing with you. lol.
Thanks.

Thanks for the comment Nissanguy! I love your statement "Hearing a race engine fire for the first time." Only a true racer / engine builder knows the feeling! We sound alot alike, i've went through the parts pile several times to assemble an engine that no one thought would fall out of a tree! When you don't have the $$$$ for all new parts, you have to go to plan B, the old "pick the best out of the parts pile" technique! Later man.
